Description: A classroom at St. Catherine’s Convent School in Nottingham. Annals from St. Catherine’s during WWI note how the children and teachers were affected by the war: Feb 4th 1916: ‘The zeppelin raid on Monday night caused a very bad attendance on Tuesday, the fright having upset many homes, keeping both parents and children up a good part of the night.’
Sept 22nd 1916: ‘Owing to the fright caused by Saturday night’s raid, several children were absent on Monday.’
