Description: Singleton, NSW, Australia was, and still is, the home of a Military Camp. At least seven Sisters of Mercy underwent Junior Cadet training and gained Cadet Certificates during WWI. This is the certificate of Sister Mary Evangelist McBride.
A photo of Sister M Evangelist in her later life is also included. Sister Mary Evangelist McBride entered the Mercy Novitiate at Singleton NSW, Australia on 8th December 1908 and was professed on 21st November 1911. Sister M Evangelist spent her life as a primary teacher, but during WWI she, along with her Novitiate companions, undertook Cadet training.
